Jan 14, 2013
BOSTON, Mass. —January 14, 2013— Boston Software Systems, the leader in error-free automation technology for every healthcare application, today named Doug Bilbrey as business development manager. Mr. Bilbrey will be joining the team responsible for business development throughout the United States.

“Doug brings an outstanding career that spans the key operational segments of the healthcare industry. Automating the workflow in these areas is the sweet spot for our products and services,” said Steven M. Cohen, executive vice president of Boston Software Systems. “In this new role his focus will be on building partnerships with those vendors offering solutions in the revenue cycle systems management area. This includes, hospital information systems, practice management systems, electronic data interchange or clearing house vendors, patient access and other vendors tied to the hospital’s general revenue and patient revenue cycle.”

“While the healthcare industry has clearly defined standards for integration - IE, HL/7 and X12 - there remains a definite need for product and services that can enhance connectivity between vendors, providers and payers,” stated Bilbrey. “With the conversion to ICD-10, the adoption and expansion of Account Care Organizations (ACOs) and the challenges associated with the conversion and implementation of vendor solutions, the sophisticated automation platforms offered by Boston Software Systems allow organizations to enhance their productivity and improve operational efficiencies. I am delighted to be a part of the Boston Software Systems team and look forward to continuing my work in the industry.”

Bilbrey comes to Boston Software Systems with over 24 years of healthcare technology experience. This experience includes; programmer analyst/product development with HBOC and Company (McKesson) at Baptist Healthcare in Pensacola Florida, application development management with Bronson Healthcare in Kalamazoo MI, and several roles, specifically sales and marketing, with The SSI Group, Inc. in Mobile AL.
