Using Boston WorkStation, The Credit Valley Hospital developed an improved registration workflow which applies business rules as part of the registration process. Patient address validation is also included against a postal database. Boston WorkStation, running in the background, can 'watch' the registration screen and 'see' what a user is keying in. This quickly helps users detect errors, increasing address standardization and improving data quality. Through the inventive marriage of technology and process, Credit Valley was able to automate a standardized registration process across more than 40 points of registration.
