HRSA Reimbursement
Health care providers who have conducted COVID-19 testing, provided treatment, or provided COVID-19 vaccine administration to uninsured individuals after February 4, 2020, can electronically request claims reimbursement through the HRSA program
Who is Eligible
Providers may submit claims for uninsured individuals in the U.S. through the HRSA COVID-19 Uninsured Program Portal, and the HRSA COVID-19 Coverage Assistance Fund. HHS intends for the two programs to incent providers to get more shots in arms. Providers must verify and attest that the patient does not have individual, employer-sponsored, Medicare, or Medicaid coverage
What is Covered
The Biden-Harris Administration is providing free access to COVID-19 vaccines for every adult living in the United States. For dates of service or admittance on or after February 4, 2020, providers will be eligible to seek reimbursement for COVID-19 testing, treatment, and vaccine administration for uninsured individuals.
